We will be making sure Gary will be sleeping in separate hotel rooms as much as possible on this trip as when coming in drunk he tends to head for the nearest bed to the front door rather than his own. Just ask his Mum and Dad who are often asked to nudge up a little in the early hours of the morning.

We are not putting Tom in charge of booking the Trans-Siberian express. When Tom first stepped outside his home town of Birkenhead to use the trains for the first time to and from University, it wasn't until towards the end of the first year that he discovered it was cheaper buying a Return ticket rather than two singles. He assumed a return was double the price of a single, but we soon told him the error of his ways when we found out.

Ambition in Life : To own a cycle holiday company for tourists in Italy and to learn a foreign language.

If we happen to get lost in Asia, map shy Martin will definitely not be our first port of call. When we tested Martin's geographical awareness before embarking on this trip we asked him to pinpoint on a map outline where some particular countries and cities are. Martin thought Ireland was south of London, Wales where East Anglia is and that Newcastle was in Wales!!!!...enough said
